Time flies when you are having fun. It also seems to fly faster as you get older.
Either way, I am very thankful at this time of year and have even more reason to be thankful this year. I just hit my 30 year anniversary. I began this journey when my oldest daughter was born. I knew that I didn’t want to go back to Microsoft and begin travelling again and I missed consulting so I started my own consulting firm. Best decision ever. I’ve learned so much through the years. It has been a journey and like any journey, there are great days and bad days. Days when things go as planned and days when you feel like you shouldn’t have gotten out of bed. Yet, through it all, I have been proud of the work that we’ve done through the years and thankful to our clients that have allowed us to be part of their strategic efforts.
Over 30 years, my team has changed and grown. I’m thankful for the teams of past and teams of present. It is not a journey that I could have done as successfully without their help.
I had a recent revelation that given my priorities, I grew accordingly. Yet, this has been and will always be a labor of love. The minute I can’t be proud of what we do as an organization is the day I put it aside.
SO thank you to the people in my life and the people I’ve met along the way. It has been a lovely journey and can’t wait to continue the adventure.
Wishing you all happy holidays (and belated Happy Thanksgiving by the time this is published.) Looking forward to celebrating our 30 year anniversary for the entire year in 2020!
