TRANSFORMATION
Peritius managed the project that provided design centers with the capability to conduct standard, systematic risk assessments to (1) better identify the risk(s) of failure, (2) improve time to market by reducing time spent performing engineering changes, and (3) improve engineering usage by making it easier to generate risk assessments that properly apply the company’s methodology. Peritius also automated the collection and analysis of labor data, defects, and re-work according to work order details. This information was then integrated with production control and costing on a near real-time basis. The new integration provided the necessary visibility and analysis tools to improve quality, minimize the cost of scrap and re-work, and improve efficiency in production.
RESULT
These actions improved customer satisfaction by reducing product failures in the field. Ultimately, this also enabled more effective costing analysis and provided the capability to measure actual labor performance and factory output against standard.
